Sometimes life is hard.
We face difficulties and trials that take us to places we never imagined.
Accepting those circumstances can require time, space, and healing.
Sometimes we give ourselves that space through quiet breaks of escape.
And sometimes, those breaks are good and needed.
But if we are always looking for the next place to go, we may miss the life right in front of us.
The people in the room.
The ordinary days.
The healing happening slowly.
The work still unfolding.
Being present does not mean we stop dreaming, planning, or going.
It simply means we remember to live here, too.
So take the break when you need it.
But remember to come back.
Today, be present.
