Shannon’s Fun Finds
where restoration happens
and small things matter
I have always loved old things.
They bring back childhood memories. And even more importantly, they remind me of special people who aren’t here anymore.
The trinket tray that looks just like the one my grandmother had.
The basket with the worn handle that reminds me of the one my mom kept in the corner of her bedroom.
The tray with a little age around the edges that sat proudly on my aunt’s table.
The vase that has already held flowers in someone else’s home.
The piece that may have been overlooked, but still has something beautiful to offer.
That is part of what I love about vintage.
It reminds us that some things are beautiful enough to stand the test of time. And that they can still have purpose — maybe even a new purpose — after they have been used, moved, passed over, or set aside for a while.
Sometimes all a piece needs is a fresh place, a new purpose, or someone willing to see what it could become.
And sometimes it just needs a little TLC and a gentle touch-up.
Around here, you may find vintage pieces left just as they were found. You may also find a basket, tub, tray, or small treasure that has been gently refreshed with a tag, a detail, or a little extra meaning.
Not to erase its story.
Just to help it begin another one.
Because old things can still be useful.
Simple things can still be beautiful.
And small things really do matter.
Thank you for being here, and for giving these found treasures another look, another chance, and maybe even another home.
